Portuguese engineers refused by Brazilian authorities

In-spite having a labor lack of about 150.000 engineers in the country, the Brazilian government refuses contracting Portuguese engineers in order to partially fill up the country’s needs. There is no objective reason invoked by the Brazilian authorities for such refusal, but one can speculate that the reason is related to the traditional cultural hatred spread in Brazil against Portugal as the former colonial power.
